Watch: Tiktoker faces major backlash for calling out Jeffrey Marsh, but she hits back hard with receipts
Our pal Jeffrey Marsh has taken some heat for telling their young followers to subscribe to their Patreon so they can have deep, private conversations without their parent's knowledge. Just a slight red flag.
One of Marsh's critics is a woman named Shumirun Nessa on TikTok. Nessa replied to a video of Marsh where he aggressively stated, "stop telling trans people that we're inspirational." Nessa responded, "Stop telling kids to go on your Patreon and chat to you privately without their parents knowing."
This of course sparked widespread outrage from the trans community. Nessa said she has been called transphobic and attacked for being Muslim. But they also claimed Marsh was not actually talking to kids. So Nessa brought the receipts.
She played a montage of Marsh saying, "Hey kids," and "I want to talk to the kids". Which seems fairly straightforward to me.
@therealoverloadcomedy I HOPE THIS CLEARS SOME THINGS! Also I made this video NOT because they are trans, I would have created the same video for anyone who is trying to harm kids! PERIOD!
She asked why Marsh wants to talk to kids whose parents have "screwed up" privately, on Patreon, about things that can't be discussed in the comments section of TikTok.
"Why? Why do you want to do that? Why can't you chat about these topics in these comments? Is it because it might get flagged or something? What could be the reason?"
She then went to Marsh's Patreon and highlighted some of the topics they're discussing with patrons. One of them was "going no contact," presumably with one's parents/family. Another was simply called "more on sex". A tad fishy, no?
Nessa went even further by explaining some of the signs of grooming, such as "gaining access and isolating the victim" and "trust and keeping secrets". Like perhaps directing children to a private platform to talk about inappropriate topics that their parents just "don't understand".
In the caption of her video, Nessa explained that she did not make the video because Marsh is trans, but because they are engaging in inappropriate behavior with children. Which should go without saying, but these days, everything needs a LGBTQ disclaimer. On the bright side, the comments on her video were overwhelmingly positive and supportive, so hopefully this type of behavior will come to an end.
