Chaos reigned in the Oval Office Tuesday night when Joe Biden, the most popular president ever, didn't take questions. This was the second time he didn't take questions on Tuesday. Not the first time. We don't speak of the one reporter who snuck a question in as secret service whisked Biden away through a back room. It was a confusing day. And that's just for those of who, unlike Joe Biden, have fully functioning brains that aren't made of tapioca.

The second time was shortly after Biden finished a kibitz with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Johnson did this weird thing where he offered to take a question from the press. American reporters foolishly thought Biden would take a question too. Instead, aides screamed and flailed their arms around telling reporters to get out. Reporters were big mad about it and lodged a complaint to White House Spokessoulessginger Jen Psaki. She only got back to them today with an answer to what went wrong. The White House didn't know Boris was going to take questions. So blame him.

PSAKI: We had no idea Boris was going to actually take questions. He didn't run it by us. He just sat there and offered to answer questions. And from idiot eporters! No offense.

PSAKI: Boris Johnson just, like, he took questions. He didn't have a list of approved reporters or anything. He wasn't given the questions ahea of time. Boris just took questions. Like some big shot, question-taking guy. Who does that?

PSAKI: I hate you. It's a special kind of hate.

Why not just blame the intern? That's what we do in the social media world when someone tweets wrong.

Instead, using Boris as an excuse just makes the White House look worse. Boris Johnson, as a head of state, isn't afraid of questions. The people who run Joe Biden, as a head of state, are afraid of him taking questions. And Joe Biden just sits there while his brain sings the "Meow Mix" jingle.

Biden refusing to take questions with an empty look in his eyes as reporters yell at him doesn't send the message his handlers think it does. Or, maybe it doesn't. I honestly can't figure out what these people are thinking. Other than the possibility they're all closet Brodigan stans and want me to have all the content.
