"I'd do it again": Jeremy Renner breaks down reliving being crushed by a snow plow as he saved his nephew
Jeremy Renner is lucky to be alive. Earlier this year, he was crushed by a snow plow while attempting to save his nephew from the same fate. There but for the grace of God, he was able to be put back together. Renner is now out of the hospital and telling his story.
20/20 released a promo for an interview he did that's being released next month.
“I chose to survive.” @dianesawyer sits down exclusively with @jeremyrenner in his 1st interview since life-threatening accident.
‘Jeremy Renner: The Diane Sawyer Interview – A Story of Terror, Survival and Triumph’ airs on @ABC next Thursday, April 6th. https://t.co/vERVX1O2bn pic.twitter.com/fzomqjNMAe

“[I felt] all of [the pain]. I was awake through every moment," he says of his injury that broke eight of his ribs in fourteen places, broke his mandible, broke his leg, broke his knee, broke his shoulder, broke his face, and had his lung both get pierced and collapse. Though he lost a lot of flesh and bone, he has gained a lot of love and titanium. So, I guess that's kinda a trade-off.
Renner seemed to hold a degree of gallows humor, joking about wondering if he was going to be left just a brain and a spine. Which could make a fun cartoon.

The actor broke down as he recounted thinking he was saying goodbye to his family. And saying that he would do it again because it meant saving his nephew.
Glad to see he's on the mend. I've always dug Jeremy Renner. He seems like a low-key dude who doesn't bother with a lot of the usual Hollywood bullshit. Plus as an uncle myself, I can only pray I would share his courage.
