Let's get this cleared up pronto: we're in total support of a free press. Even reporters we think are less valuable than toe fungus should be free to be toe fungus. Okay, okay? With that clear, any anti-Trump lefty friends can gather around and take a knee. Because at least some of you have to realize sanctimonious doucheburritos like Jim Acosta do eleventy times more harm to your cause than good. A two-year-old girl has less of a meltdown when it's naptime and she hasn't yet had her Teddy Grahams.

Yesterday Sarah Sanders slapped Acosta around and called him Susan. Once Acosta collected what was left of his dignity, he appeared on CNN. Where he proceeded to set the remains of his dignity aflame.

"I'm tired of this. It is not right, it is not fair, it is not just. It is un-American to come out here and call the press the 'enemy of the people. Fellow Americans are not the enemy of fellow Americans. Forgive me for going on a rant, but I think that they've lost sight of that here at this White House."

Seriously, Slaptnuts. Do you even watch CNN (see Desperate CNN is Now Doxxing, Live Trolling Trump Supporters Over Russian Collusion and CNN Threatens to “Dox” Anonymous Trump/WWE GIF Creator. Americans’ Backlash Begins…)? The disdain the network has for the American people, or at least the American people who have a different opinion than most CNN employees, is obvious.

Here's the thing I've yet to understand. You have Donald Trump, who claims any negative thing you read about him is fake news. If it were me and I was a reporter, I'd view the accusation as an invitation to suck less. Instead, the press doubled down. Worse, they've gone straight to hyperspace reporting, exposing any anonymous rumor they hear.

Any time there is an explosive Donald Trump allegation, give it 48 hours. See how explosive it still is after the media's self-made dustup settles.

Then watch the process repeat.
