But it's easy to dismiss our criticism of Acosta. Our partisan allegiance is clear and the fake news press is the enemy of the people. His Royal Orangeness says so. Let's check in with a former CNN employee and see what he thinks of Jim Acosta.

Hamby, besides being a former CNN reporter, currently hosts a news show for Snapchat. He's not exactly someone you'd imagine plays bocce ball on the weekends with Sean Hannity or Lou Dobbs.

Hamby also doesn't have a problem with reporters doing reporting along the border. Just one specific sanctimonious doucheburrito in Ray-Ban's.

Here's the thing to keep in mind when talking about Acosta. Or whoever is the newest self-appointed "look at me speaking truth to power" guy on television. There are a lot of honest, hard-working reporters in this country.  Reporters working locally. Usually for crappy pay. People who are looking to report actual news as opposed to just screaming "ORANGE MAN BAD! ORANGE MAN BAD!" Dickheads like Jim Acosta make their lives harder.

Reporters report the news. Acosta preens for the camera for his own self-flatulence, and to hear his colleagues tell him how brave he is when his back isn't turned.
