At one point in American history, saying something like “make school great” was not controversial. But the culture loathes anything supportive of American excellence, especially regarding education because Math is racist. But a middle schooler in California didn't get the memo, as he was just suspended over his “Make School Great Again” speech.
Jimmy Heyward ran for Commissioner of School Spirit and Patriotism at Saint Bonaventure Catholic School in Huntington Beach, CA. However, his principal told him to censor the patriotic parts of his speech because she’s a communist dictator. And now he and his two sisters have been kicked out of school.

According to the New York Post:
Hattie Ruggles shared the news Tuesday that her son Jimmy Heyward and his two sisters would not be returning to Saint Bonaventure Catholic School in Huntington Beach, Calif., over a violation of the school’s code of conduct.
“Finally heard from St. Bonaventure. This morning we received an email terminating Jimmy, Alice, and Livia from the school and will not allow them to return next year,” Ruggles shared on Facebook along with a photo of the termination letter, referencing her three children.
The school says the decision to terminate the three students was due to “serious violations of the Christian Code of Conduct and the Parent Electronic Communication Policy,” according to the letter signed by the Rev. Vincent Pham, the parish’s pastor.
The letter basically said that the parents said some things to school officials that hurt their feelings and because the parents defended their son, that was against some arbitrary code of conduct.
In Tuesday’s letter, the school allegedly accused the family of speaking to administrators in a way “that is not in line with our expectations of respectful and courteous communication,” “posting disparaging remarks about the administration” that led to a “smear campaign,” and inviting outside groups to an unsanctioned event on parish grounds.
The family was also allegedly accused of creating a petition demanding the removal of Flock, which received over 6,700 signatures, and making threats toward the administration.
If the school hated the negative attention it was getting, I doubt this would help them in the least bit.
The kid did nothing wrong, it was the school who chose to censor him for the dumbest reasons. They obviously don't want to make the school great again. How is that a bad thing to say?
If he said he hated the school and wanted to make it worse, would that have also been censored? If not, then school officials need to find a new job.
Making something great is an objectively good thing, but because the left has taken over the culture, we can't have nice things because these are miserable people and misery loves company.
It seems as if many middle schools are concerned more with censorship and less with education. Why is that?
As of writing this, the school has yet to clarify whether or not they want education excellence, aka, making the school great again. But for now, they are not so great and they don't deserve Jimmy.
