J.K. Rowling Says She Would “Happily” Go To Jail If/When The UK Criminalizes Calling Someone The "Wrong" Pronoun
Once again, the left is mad because J.K. Rowling is standing up for the truth.
Rowling said she would "happily" spend time in jail if the government in the United Kingdom made it a hate crime to call someone by the “wrong” pronouns.
If you need more information about the potential law click here. But just real quick, purposely calling someone by the “wrong,” or otherwise probably correct, gender pronoun in the UK could lead to two years in jail as it may be treated as a hate crime under a Labour government, according to the Daily Mail.
"I'll happily do two years if the alternative is compelled speech and forced denial of the reality and importance of sex," Rowling posted on X after one user told her about the proposed law. "Bring on the court case, I say. It'll be more fun than I've ever had on a red carpet."
This was in response to a photo of lighted letters outside the UK’s Ministry of Justice that said: "Repeat After Us: Trans Women Are Women" to which she replied "no" to in an X post.
To which we reply: correct.
She then joked about what life might be like in the slammer.
“Hoping for the library, obviously, but I think I could do OK in the kitchens. Laundry might be a problem. I have a tendency to shrink stuff/turn it pink accidentally. Guessing that won't be a major issue if it's mostly scrubs and sheets, though,” she said.
She added, “I'm ok at ironing. It's the not checking there's a random red sock in amongst the sheets that's the issue.”
This news comes just several days after Rowling handed it to a senior Labour MP for her stance on the trans-Dramarama drama, according to the Daily Mail.
She spoke about shadow minister Lisa Nandy's claiming that male rapists should be allowed into female jails, asking her: “Given that you're one of the biggest reasons many women on the Left no longer trust Labour to defend their rights, do you stand by those comments?”
She also recently said she would take the “hit” for standing up for women's rights because she is financially in a fortunate position.
“Women have been bullied out of jobs, silenced out of fear of losing livelihoods, harassed and assaulted. That makes it even more important that those of us who can, stand up for those who can't,” she said in an X post.
It is truly crazy to think that we live in a time where you may one day be jailed for speaking the truth. Speaking the truth can only be a crime in a totalitarian society. Is this truly the reality we have succumbed to?
George Orwell's words could not be more perfect here, "If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear."
If we can no longer speak the truth, if we no longer have a right to free thought, we have no liberty.
Anyways, "trans women" are definitely not women.
