We've grown accustomed to Joe Biden being a terrible person run by people who don't care about optics. This is the same guy who needed to be dragged from vacation kicking and screaming while Maui was in flames and his incompetent Afghanistan withdrawal left thirteen servicemembers dead in Kabul. But even by usual Biden standards, having a BBQ while the attack on Israel has left Americans held hostage and murdered is a bit much.

"What if it was Trump" is implied in most Biden stories. But it's worth saying out loud here.

The worst thing is, the reason we know about the BBQ? While reporters were filing their stories and waiting, assuming, that the President of the United States would have something to say on camera while Americans were held hostage and/or killed, they heard music bumping from the Rose Garden. The Biden's were throwing a cookout.

So while the White House was acknowledging the were reports that morning:

In the evening? "President Biden had nothing to say about this on camera today. We did hear some music this afternoon into the early evening coming from the area of the Rose Garden. We are told that the President and the First Lady were hosting a BBQ for executive residence staff."

...I can't even find the words.

To be clear, there are people working for this president whose first response to hearing Hamas launched the deadliest attack on Jews since the Holocaust was for Israel to not take it personally.

I'm sure there are Democrats working for the White House who thought the BBQ was to celebrate Hamas. There are plenty of Democrats in Congress who do. But there needs to be at least one adult working for this administration to say "Ya know, maybe we should push the BBQ back a week."

Joe Biden's "monitoring the situation" doesn't mean with a Bud Light in his hand while he flips burgers and asks the DJ to play some of that Tyler Swift music.

For the love of God. Have some dignity and/or class.
