Last night, Joe Biden gave a speech honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. from Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, where Dr. King served as a pastor until his assassination. Biden is now the first sitting president to deliver a Sunday sermon from the historic church.

Biden, of course, couldn't help but f*** things up, as his former boss might say. He claimed to have participated in the Civil Rights movement, saying, "I have two political heroes, my entire life when I started off as a 22-year-old kid on the east side in the civil rights movement.”

Biden has made this claim several times, even though it has been thoroughly debunked. Last January, he claimed to have been arrested for protesting during the Civil Rights movement.

But in 1987, a more lucid Biden admitted he was not actually an activist--rather, he was "involved" because he worked at an all-black swimming pool. Seriously.

Last night, Biden also claimed to have attended a black church in high school, saying, "I used to go to 7:30 mass every morning in high school and then in college before I went to the Black church. Not a joke."

Biden has frequently claimed he attended a black church in Delaware, Union Baptist Church, and helped organize desegregation marches. During his 2020 campaign, Biden told the congregants of Bethlehem Baptist Church that he would go to Union's 8 AM mass, then meet with the Reverend to figure out where they wanted to go for their desegregation protest.

But congregants of Union Baptist Church can't recall seeing a young Joe Biden attending their church. Woopsie!

And of course, Biden couldn't let last night pass without at least one creepy comment. As he was speaking, he randomly asked a young person in the crowd, "what;'s your name, honey?" He then asked for a picture before they left.

We haven't seen that picture yet, but there's a 99.9% chance that child's hair has now been thoroughly sniffed.
