On Monday, former President Barack Obama's vice president, Joe Biden, tried to explain away the failure that is the American withdrawal from Afghanistan. During his explanation he explained how Trump set up the withdrawal date of May 1, 2021, how Trump negotiated the deal, but that he was saddled with it. He explained that if the Afghan people weren't going to stand up to the Taliban now, they never would. Cool story. So here's my question: wasn't Biden in a position of significant policy influence for 8 YEARS while serving in the Obama Administration?!

All the tough talk was a cute touch. Hard to talk tough when America fled Kabul with figurative tails between the legs. Hard to tough talk when our military leaders, or people who lead the military I should say, seem more concerned with pushing a woke agenda than they do winning, even if the war was always an uphill battle.

Remember that Afghanistan falling comes after the Biden Administration boasted supreme confidence in their ability to make this happen. Listen to Biden talk tough, and you'd think the administration had never groveled to the Taliban. Yet from where I sit, that's pretty much how Biden's Administration has behaved: with weakness, groveling, and embarrassment.

When your enemy smells weakness, they exploit it. When your weakness reeks, we get today's Afghanistan disaster.
