Yesterday, when the White House's excuse for Joe Biden not going to Ground Zero was that "twenty-two years after Pearl Harbor, US Presidents were not still going to visit Hawaii," we erroneously reported that was the worst 9/11 take of the day. We were wrong. Joe Biden had one more in him.

Lying that he was there at Ground Zero on September 12th.

"Ground Zero in New York. I remember standing there the next day. Felt like I was looking through the gates of hell."

I wonder if he tells these invalid truths in front of staffers, or if he just surprises them on stage. No communication professional should have to assume they need to tell a politician, "Listen, sir, whatever you do, don't lie about where you were on September 12, 2001. Tell the story about how you know what losing 3,000 people is like because your son died instead."

The dumbest part about Biden's latest soggy brain fart? It's not that we know he was in Washington DC on September 12th. Because there is video of him speaking in Washington DC on September 12. It's not even that Biden, who has been a politician for two hundred and eleventy years, doesn't realize we have a record of almost everything he has done.

No, the dumbest part of Biden either lying or misremembering (depending on if your head is out of your ass or if you're an "independent" "fact" checker) being at Ground Zero on September 12th is that George W. Bush didn't make it down there until September 14th. The popular bullhorn speech? It took the Secret Service and the military a few days to make sure the area was secure before the PRESIDENT could make it down there.

Actually, scratch that. THIS is the dumbest part of Biden lying or misremembering. He may have plagiarized Hillary Clinton's memories of being there at Ground Zero.

What a buffoon. I feel bad for Karine Jean Pierre. When Jen Psaki left, she took the emergency bottle of tequila she kept in the Press Secretary's desk with her.
