Joe Biden likes to brag on his "landmark" 1994 anti-gun bill. He mentioned it last week while saying he wanted to eliminate handguns. Though, as PolitiFact points out, not all handguns (yet). Biden also appointed anti-gun activist David Chipman to head up the ATF. Chipman has yet to see a gun he didn't want to grab. He also has a robust social media footprint shouting to the world how much he wants to take your guns away and/or put you on the list.

Here he is in 2019 saying that Biden's anti-gun bill, the one Biden considers the gold standard of anti-gun bills, didn't go far enough.

Chipman's definition of an "assault" weapon includes the most common and popular rifle among law-abiding gun owners.

... and the urgent need to keep particularly dangerous weapons out of the hands of criminals, simply reinstating the '90s-era ban on assault weapons is not enough. One option would be to require the registration of all existing assault weapons in civilian hands under the National Firearms Act while banning the future manufacture and sale of these firearms.

Set aside the whole "wanting to strip Americans of their God-given right to defend themselves" thing for a moment, the incompetence of nominating this chucklehead is astounding. Our dude is not only so anti-gun that Democrats can't get fifty Senators to even call a vote. He's so anti-gun, he thinks the guy who nominated him isn't anti-gun enough. Our puddingheaded president brags on the regular over his 1994 bill. He hangs all of his anti-gun bona fides on it. David Chipman, the guy who could be in a role to actually TAKE guns away from the law-abiding citizens he claims to care about, thinks Biden's most prized bill is garbage. Chipman wants more better gun-grabbing powers.

I know Democrats are throwing a lot at us lately. Biden's gun-grabbing agenda has taken a back seat to his anti-free speech agenda and his anti-science agenda. But don't sleep on Chipman. As long as he's still being considered for the ATF, he needs our attention.
