In communist China, the regime often cracks down on journalism. In North Korea, the dictatorship of Kim Jong Un ensures the media only speaks well of their exalted leader. Biden would really like the media in the United States to get with the program and stop pointing out how awful he is as president.

Recently, the White House has been meeting with news outlets and engaging in conversations aimed at improving the coverage of the administration. “The White House has been secretly begging news organizations to give ‘favorable’ coverage to President Biden,” writes Lee Brown at the New York Post. “The administration is ‘not happy’ with the unflattering headlines.”

Unflattering headlines? Biden should be happy they are only unflattering. His administration has been an abysmal failure thus far, and it doesn’t look like it will be improving anytime soon. There’s a reason Joe “Check-My-Depends” Biden’s approval numbers are in the toilet.

CNN’s “Reliable Sources” tweeted Monday that “the White House is ‘absolutely right’” to be upset with the coverage of Biden. But then, these same people point to the handling of the COVID fiasco, the Afghanistan withdrawal, and astronomical inflation and say, “meh, that stuff’s not that bad.”

It’s a fact that Biden is handled with kid gloves like Donald Trump never was, regardless of what some dimwitted columnists believe. And Biden looking to work behind the scenes to improve his image is gross and deceitful. He (read: the people who control him) knows he’s terrible and disliked and entirely unfit to be in office. But just as is the case in many dictatorial regimes, the ruling class needs to fabricate a new reality through control of the media.

This kind of thing happens in authoritarian states. This is the kind of thing a fascist dictator would do. Now, we have seen how quickly the American left will jump at the chance to go full-on tyrant, so don’t be surprised when the White House starts writing the news—although, it isn’t as if there’s much of a differentiation between the mainstream media and the Democratic Party, now.
