Joe Biden finds himself in another international crisis. Vladimir Putin, who is an evil, very bad man and an enemy of the world, is about to invade Ukraine in spite of Biden saying, "No, don't do that." The White House has decided it's best to employ media strategy used during Biden's last international crisis--the incompetent withdrawal from Afghanistan--and have the president pretend he can't hear reporters. Here Biden is asked if he underestimated Putin. Our president whose brain is half brain/half tapioca stared blankly. Then he stuck his hand in his mouth.

The reporter in question is that radical DOOCY, who later got a non-answer from Jen Psaki.

From a PR standpoint, having the president avoid speaking is wise. However, from an instilling-confidence and/or looking-like-he-knows-where-he-is standpoint, it's horrible. But the less Biden speaks the better it is for the people who control Biden.

The last time our president took an unauthorized question from a reporter, he wound up lashing out at her. It is unclear if the lashing out was because of the question or because she ruined his really cool leaving-the-podium move where he wears sunglasses. The day before that, Biden was asked about Putin and had a confused and awkward moment of silence where his brain stopped working.

There was also the list of sixteen things he gave Putin that he said were off-limits from attacking. Ukraine must not have been on the list.

As of this writing, Russia hasn't started its invasion. Joe Biden has no press events scheduled where he ignores the press. And there is no word where he'll stick his finger if he does. This is the world in 2022.
