The White House Correspondents Dinner was Saturday night. It's like the Oscars, but more insufferable. Instead of celebrities giving themselves reach-arounds, it's journalismers. There's also a comedian to do a "roast" of the president. This year, that was Trevor Noah. Joe Biden thought Noah was hysterical, especially the part when Trevor made fun of skyrocketing gas, rent, and food costs.

Here is Biden laughing his ass off at that.

Like every time right-wingers have fun at this president's expense, the "independent" "fact" checkers are sure to circle the wagons on this RNC clip. I can guess what they're going to say.

"In the selectively edited video, Joe Biden didn't laugh at gas, rent, and food costs going up. He laughed at Trevor Noah making fun of gas, rent, and food costs going up while Joe Biden is president. That's totally different."

Yes, I know how comedy and roasts work. It's still a bad look when the American people already don't like this president very much. It was unfortunate the camera panned to Biden at that awkward moment. Though, I'd be curious to know if Biden laughed at these bars mocking his botched Afghanistan withdrawal.

Joe Biden then took the stage. Traditionally, the president does a lighthearted, self-deprecating routine. Joe Biden took his open mic opportunity to instead drop cringy one-liners about his political opponents. I can't fault him, though. He was speaking to an audience of his most loyal supporters, and one of the few voting blocs that haven't turned on him yet.
