What a horrible week for a presidential campaign surrogate to make an unforced error insulting a key electorate. And right after a major speech by a presidential candidate, too. Sucks to be Kamala Harris, who, after her closing argument, now needs to clean up her campaign calling half of America garbage. The rub is that instead of a comedian saying it... it was the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. Joe Biden? Remember that guy?

To make matters worse, Trump was giving a rally at the same time and was able to respond instantaneously to the breaking news. There's a reason why we call Biden the Leroy Jenkins of U.S. Presidents.

Here's Joe allegedly (work with me here) saying what we see and hear him saying.

I say "allegedly" because, according to the media, Joe Biden didn't say what we heard him say. Jon Lemire's "source" is a memo from the White House. Interesting side note about Politico's Jon Lemire. He was just named a co-host of MSNBC's Morning Joe this morning. Weird, right?

Obviously, if you are Kamala Harris and you are running for president, you don't want the current president reminding everyone that you are the Harris in the unpopular Biden-Harris. You really don't want him saying anything that will step on media coverage of your "major" closing argument speech. And you REALLY really don't want this to happen in the middle of a Trump rally, where Marco Rubio interrupted Trump with the breaking news.

The comedy of errors that allows Trump such an easy layup with six days until election day is funnier than a roast comedian trying out new material at The Cellar.

Joe Biden attempted to play clean-up. Or, to be more precise with my language, someone who has access to the Joe Biden X-Twitter account that Biden doesn't know exists did.

Now, instead of talking about Kamala's fact-deficient closing argument, the Harris campaign needs to clean up after Joe. All while Team Trump slaps an "I'm Donald Trump, and I approve this message" at the end of Biden's comments and get it on air in every swing state in America. Possibly in Virginia and New Hampshire too. You love to see it.
