There are two rules of running for office that, even in 2020, I feel still hold true. The first is that voters feelings don't always care about your facts. The second is that you have no control over what voters are going to care about on any given day. In the latter case, I don't know if voters are going to care about Joe Biden hypothetically adding justices to the Supreme Court. Voters barely care about Biden as it is (see THIS JOE BIDEN CAR 'PARADE' IS JUST SIMPLY EMBARRASSING AND SAD and LAS VEGAS 'LATINOS FOR BIDEN' RALLY IS JUST SAD). But if any candidate, let alone a guy running to be leader of the free world, said I didn't 'deserve' to know his position on an issue, that would be something I would care about. Angrily.

REPORTERS: Don't you think voters deserve to know your position on this important issue that could reshape the country for generations to come.

BIDEN: Voters, Schmoters. Also, who the hell are you and where the hell are my pants?

I try to avoid "if Republicans said it" whataboutism, but if a Republican candidate for dog catcher told a reporter that voters didn't deserve to hear his position on catching dogs, there would be non-stop cable news coverage. Let alone a guy running for president saying voters don't deserve to hear his position on one of the three branches of government. But I think I figured out Biden's game, and the media is already doing the groundwork.

Democrats want to avoid looking like unhinged, bitterly partisan jackwagons like they do every time a Republican nominates someone to the Supreme Court, especially after Brett Kavanaugh. I'm sorry, I mean especially after SUPREME COURT JUSTICE BRETT KAVANAUGH. Biden is going to refuse to answer the question until Amy Coney Barrett takes her rightful place as the heir to Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Then Biden is going to come out and say that if elected, he will pack the court with every leftist commie he can find just to fire up Kamala Harris's base right before Election Day. He won't use those exact words, of course. He'll lie about Donald Trump "forcing his hand" and the media will swear by it as they're already preparing to do. But we'll all know what he means.

I'm not willing to be money on it, just because it's 2020 and you'd have better odds taking a wad of cash out of your pocket and throwing it on the ground than to bet on how anything in politics is going to turn out. But I'm fairly certain I have this one right.
