A buddy of mine bought a restaurant recently, and I was very happy for him. That must be what Joe Rogan is feeling now that his friend Elon Musk has bought Twitter. The best part is that Rogan found out as it happened LIVE while recording his podcast with fellow comedian Jessica Kirson.

"It's like a movie, like if you had a movie, and there was a guy who was like a hero in the movie who happens to be a billionaire who does wild sh*t, like makes his own rockets and drills under the city with electric cars and then buys Twitter."

Rogan then rattles off the reason why Musk buying the bird app is a big deal. Most notably, Elon Musk believes in free speech, in the way free speech is defined. As we learned this morning, not only do Twitter employees think the definition of free speech needs to change, but their new boss needs to change HIS definition to match theirs.

Then there is the throttling, the shadow banning, and the yeeting off the platform of anyone who is slightly to the right of Twitter employees. It's hard for anyone to deny that now after employees and the corporate media have said OUT LOUD that the fate of democracy rests upon Twitter's ability to moderate content.

Whether or not the "sudden influx" of followers to conservative accounts and liberal accounts shrinking is natural or a result of Twitter no longer throttling before Musk can take a look at the code is open to interpretation. I know that you know that I know that you know how to interpret it.
