Watch: Joe Rogan dismantles all the woke arguments for plant-based 'meat' in an epic rant
Joe Rogan recently went off of plant-based "meat" and promptly destroyed every pro-climate argument for consuming soy and seed-oil-packed "burgers". Rogan was speaking with journalist Matt Taibbi, one of the journalists who worked with Elon Musk on the Twitter Files.
"When all those people with saying plant-based meat is the future, like the f*ck it is. It’s really bad for you. It’s really bad for you. This idea if one life equals one life, you’re way better off buying cows and eating cows than you are buying corn. Because in order to grow a stalk of corn, a lot of sh*t has to die."
He went on to explain how mono-crop agriculture and industrial farming methods are totally unnatural and kill off everything besides the one plant being grown. "You have to kill all the animals, you have to strip the topsoil, you have to use industrialized fertilizer. You can't grow things that way normally."
He then pointed out how farmers use cows grazing and manure to help maintain the natural balance of the ecosystem, which is completely eliminated with plant-based "meat".
"You’re supporting mono-crop agriculture, industrialized farming and you are supporting very unhealthy food.”
And it is so true. I used to be a veggie burger kind of gal until I grew up and started eating real meat, and I've never felt healthier. If you're still on the fence, I sympathize. But here's a simple comparison for you. A single Impossible Burger contains: "Water, Soy Protein Concentrate, Sunflower Oil, Coconut Oil, Natural Flavors, Methylcellulose, Cultured Dextrose, Food Starch Modified, Yeast Extract, Soy Leghemoglobin, Salt, Mixed Tocopherols (Antioxidant), L-tryptophan, Soy Protein Isolate, Zinc Gluconate, Niacin, Thiamine Hydrochloride(Vitamin B1), Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Riboflavin (Vitamin B2), Vitamin B12."
A single burger contains: beef. Maybe salt. And it doesn't require entire swaths of land to be cleared away for corn and soy production. So perhaps it's time for everyone to take the red (meat) pill.
