California always seemed like a horrible place to live. Or, at least big city California. It's not fair to blame the whole state when it's the same as claiming all of New York is the People's Republic of Deblasio. The shutdown cause by COVID-19 (aka the New York City Virus) seems to be execrating people wanting to leave the left coast (see CALIFORNIA DOCTORS SAY COVID-19 IS LIKE THE FLU. OPEN THE COUNTRY ALREADY! and ELON MUSK TELLS CALIFORNIA TO SUCK IT, WILL MOVE TESLA HQ BECAUSE OF SHUTDOWN). Looks like we may be adding Joe Rogan to the list. He's just about had enough.

I might move to Texas. Here's the thing, if California continues to be this restrictive, I don't know if this is a good place to live. It's extremely expensive. The taxes here are ridiculous. And if they really say we can't do stand-up until 2022, I might jet.

Comedy clubs are going to be tough to open anywhere as long as we're social distancing. I know the clubs on Long Island would seat people on your lap if they could get away with it and charge a two drink minimum. Everything else about Los Angeles, I don't blame him. It's a horrible, expensive place.

I'd just maybe advise Joe to consider a place other than Texas. Unless he's attracted to highways, strip malls, and the color brown. Rogan has found his way across the country a few times. I'm sure he can find a place where it's inexpensive, taxes are low, and isn't uglyAF.
