"John Conyers announces retirement" roughly translates to: I'm saving face because the misconduct accusations against me prevent me from actually winning any elections. So yeah, I'm totally retiring to be with "family and stuff." At least I'll have more time with my loyal groin snake.

Had Conyers not gotten caught with his pants around his ankles, he would've continued on. To rape the American people in some form or another:

Rep. John Conyers on Tuesday announced his immediate retirement and endorsed his son John Conyers III to take his seat in Congress.

“I am retiring today,” Conyers, D-Mich., said in a local radio interview. “I want everyone to know how much I appreciate people’s support.”

The most recent accusations, which surfaced Monday, detailed how Conyers more than a decade ago allegedly slid his hand up a woman’s skirt and rubbed her thighs while they sat next to each other in church.

In church? If he was sliding his hand up a lady's thighs in CHURCH, what was he doing outside of God's house? Seems he might have been a little handsy in America's houses as well, no? Tis the pervert's immoral code of conduct to get grabby whenever the opportunity (breast, butts and in-between) present themselves. Where "opportunity" is as clearly defined as the tax code. Assterisks all around.

He made his announcement Tuesday on Praise 102.7’s “The Mildred Gaddis Show.”

Conyers has vehemently denied the allegations against him.

Of course he denied allegations. It's exactly what guilty people do. In fairness, innocent people deny allegations as well. Because contrary to what reality has shown us, some allegations are as real as a congressman's sincerity about "valuing the American people." Seems lately, the accusations leveled at powerful men in entertainment and DC are real. There's a special taxpayer provided slush fund to bankroll sexual harassment allegations against congressmen.
