Fetterman campaign tries blaming closed captioning for disastrous debate, but the company hits back hard
There is a reason why John Fetterman refused to debate Dr. Oz up until last night. It's because they knew he was going to look as horrible as he did. Yeah, he had a stroke. That's why he should have dropped out before the PRIMARY! Not hid how bad he was from voters until they'd been voting for two weeks. Though in the campaign's defense, they blame the closed captioning. The closed captioning that Fetterman needed to barely function.
First, some highlights. Because what the debate lacked in human dignity, it made up for in content.

The Fetterman campaign is blaming John's disastrous performance not on his inability to form a coherent thought or speak good, but on the closed captioning that was set up. It's the closed captioning's fault: "We are thrilled with John’s performance. He did remarkably well tonight – especially when you consider that he’s still recovering from a stroke and was working off of delayed captions filled with errors."

Nexstar Media Group, the company that hosted the debate and provided the closed captioning Fetterman demanded, issued a statement on the campaign's claims. The td;lr of it is BULL. SH*T.

Both candidates agreed to the technical set-up for the closed captioning process weeks ago, which was implemented at the request of the Fetterman campaign. Both candidates were offered the opportunity for two full rehearsals with the same equipment used in tonight’s debate; Mr. Fetterman chose to do only one. The closed captioning process functioned as expected during rehearsal and again during tonight’s debate.
Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) should be ashamed they let things with Fetterman gets this far. Someone should have stepped in and had him bow out before the DEMOCRAT PRIMARY. Instead, they thought they could hide and/or cover for him until he won. Then, and only then, would "Fetterman" decide he had to resign the office for health reasons.
If the left had any self-respect, they would feel bad about themselves. But they still parade Joe Biden out there. So obviously, they don't.
