Leftists have a lot of traditions. Gay Pride parades, the DNC, aaaand... freaking everyone out over climate change. Let's face it, the left has overestimated the threat - and reality - of global warming climate change a few times. More than a few times. Yet here we are again.

This time Kerry parroted the same moronic sentiment as many a climate-changer before him: global warming is on par with terrorism. Yes, terrorism. As in the thing responsible for the violent suffering of craploads of innocent people. That terrorism.

Air conditioners and refrigerators pose as big a threat to "life on the planet" as the threat of terrorism, Secretary John Kerry said Friday. Kerry was in Vienna negotiating a global climate deal to phase out chemicals used as refrigerants in basic household and commercial appliances such as air conditioning and refrigerators... The chemicals are a potent source of greenhouse gas emissions that many scientists blame for contributing to global warming.

"Yesterday, I met in Washington with 45 nations - defense ministers and foreign ministers - as we were working together on the challenge of [the Islamic State], and terrorism," [Kerry] said. "It's hard for some people to grasp it, but what we - you - are doing here right now is of equal importance because it has the ability to literally save life on the planet itself."

Yeah, throwing out your fridge isn't as pressing as stopping chop-happy ISIS from hacking more people to death... Or bombing people to death, or trucking people to death. Whatever the week's dead-maker of choice is. See, terrorism? It's an actual, tangible thing. Just ask France. Or Germany. World-ending global warming climate change? Not so much (see Climate Expert: Global Warming is Far from 'Settled Science'). Walking outside and feeling hot doesn't count as proof. Seasonal changes don't count as proof. Bernie Sanders saying it's a thing... still doesn't make it a thing.

Climate change outweighing the danger of terrorism is as laughable as John Kerry's shot President. Still, this is what leftist politicians keep focusing on. Because sure, ISIS may continue to wipe out more people as each month passes, but the icebergs are melting. Think of the polar bears.

Yet again the left shows that they care moreso about not offending people than they do actual people. They care about the feelings of terrorists. They care about all the woodland creatures. They care about your recycling habits. They care about how much toilet paper you're using. They care about what kind of gas mileage your car gets. People being beheaded in record numbers in the name of a serial-philandering, murderous pedophile prophet (Muhammad, for those still guessing)? Not so much.
