As many students return to K-12 and university classrooms around the country, the insanity looks to be only ramping up. At one of the United States’ preeminent universities, this is certainly the case. As students return for the spring 2022 semester at Johns Hopkins, they’ll be met with extreme, burdensome, and completely irrational COVID mitigation measures.

You’d think a university known as “a global leader on COVID-19 research and public health policy” might not decide to perpetuate hysteria via illogical measures, but you’d be wrong. As the Daily Caller reports, Johns Hopkins will require students to either wear two masks (at least one being a surgical mask) or an N95/KN95 and to test twice each week!

In a press release, Johns Hopkins notes that “the data suggest that omicron is more easily transmissible than other variants of the COVID virus and that it progresses more quickly but typically results in less severe illness and fewer hospitalizations—particularly among those who have been fully vaccinated, including booster doses.” But even as they proudly proclaim a 99% vaccination rate among students and faculty, the university is going to require double-masking, a booster mandate beginning February 1, twice-weekly testing, and contact tracing!

Let’s ignore the mild symptoms of Omicron, the uselessness of masks, the inability of boosters to do really anything at a certain point, and the totalitarianism inherent in contact tracing. Leave it to an American university to throw reason to the wind and push forward with inane, futile measures that do nothing but signal leftist virtue.

Our experts in “the science” are just as insane as the people in our government. Everything is at the mercy of imbeciles.
