Nancy Pelosi has represented San Francisco for more than 35 years. In 2007, she was elected Speaker of the House and has held that role until fairly recently.

Now, in the over three decades she has represented San Francisco, what has become of it? Well, under her watch The Paris of the West has succumbed to progressive ruins.

Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) wants former Speaker Nancy Pelosi's federal building in San Francisco to be shut down after a string of violent crimes and overdoses have been occurring until the “threat to public safety.”

In early August, the Department of Health and Human Services warned workers to steer clear of the building “for the foreseeable future” after rampant drug dealing had been taking place outside the facility.

Only progressives can take the wealthiest city in the country and turn it into conditions that those in third-world countries are not even forced to endure.

According to Ernst, the area has become an open-air drug market with addicts shooting up, snorting, and smoking drugs in plain view.

In a comment to the DailyMail.com, Ernst said that working at an HHS building “shouldn't be a risk to your health or life,” but that is the unfortunate reality because of “former Speaker Pelosi and the other liberal politicians that have allowed criminal chaos to overtake the streets of San Francisco.”

“According to its designer, the building was set up to represent ‘the way the government should be and how the workplace should be.’ Ironically, the Nancy Pelosi Federal Building is instead a symbol of the way government doesn’t work, with offices and workplaces largely empty due to drug and crime problems resulting from the misguided policies of the state and city governments,” the GOP senator said.

According to the Daily Mail, there have been over 150 overdoses on the same block as the building in just the first six months of 2023. Additionally, there have also been reports of employees being chased by homeless people holding hammers and knives.

Because of the hammer holding homeless, a protective fence was installed.

“If it’s not safe for federal employees to work here, it certainly can’t be safe for businesses to operate and families to live here,” she added. “I’m calling to shut down the Speaker Nancy Pelosi Federal Building. After all, they’ve already been forced to abandon it, so why should taxpayers keep the lights on in Nancy Pelosi’s haunted house?”

The most expensive place to live in America is also the worst place to live in America. And this all happened under Pelosi's watch.

While Pelosi has arguably held the position as the third most powerful person in the country, maybe even the world, she turns a blind eye to the carnage of her district and the voters she represents.
