The university system in the United States is a complete joke. If we’re being honest, most universities throughout the Western world have become jokes. We can only say “most,” though, as there remain a few attempting to stand against the woke ideology infecting the academy. Ralston College is one of them.

“Many universities have abandoned the search for truth and self-knowledge,” Ralston’s website states. “Contradistinctively, Ralston College calls others to join the quest, rather than indoctrinating them into cynical dismissal, division, and despair. The quest for truth is the route out of the meaning crisis and to a free and flourishing human culture.”

The institution has set itself some extremely lofty goals. And in a world being torn at the seams by polarization and a left that seems bent on spreading hopelessness, disenchantment, and postmodern notions of infinite paradox and instability. The difficulty of the task notwithstanding, Ralston has appointed the perfect man to lead them into battle against the forces of irrationality and purposelessness: Dr. Jordan B. Peterson.

In an announcement emailed to supporters and posted on their website, Ralston describes Dr. Peterson as “a renowned defender of freedom of thought and speech.”

“As Chancellor, Dr Peterson is the formal and ceremonial head of Ralston College. The most ancient role at the university […] the Chancellor is both a symbol and a guardian: a symbol of continuity with centuries of artistic creation and philosophical reflection; of intellectual community and discovery; and a guardian of the freedoms on which these depend, of the activities that sustain them, and of the ceremonies that crown them. Above all, the Chancellorship advances the university's most fundamental aim: to kindle and enlarge the human spirit.”

You might remember, Dr. Peterson left his position at Toronto University not long ago, blasting the academy as a corrupt enterprise, pointing out the various ways woke culture has managed to destroy everything it touches in the university. Prior to his resignation, Dr. Peterson was already one of the leading outspoken voices against the leftist ideological plague.

I can see no better person to lead Ralston College than Dr. Peterson, and I wish him luck in returning independent thought, objectivity, and Truth back to the academy. I also wonder if the college is looking for a composition instructor.
