My conclusion of this post in answer to "what's next" is to tell Justin Trudeau to choke on a bag of dicks. That's after Justin Trudeau's press conference where he claims he isn't dividing Canadians as he declares martial law against Canadians. Seriously, every video in this thread is more insane than the next. Banks can now seize assets, and tow truck operators can be "compelled" by the government. But this all happened AFTER Jordan Peterson released this video addressing the convoy.

JP makes two points I think are poignant. Take the time to acknowledge and appreciate what you've accomplished. Take the time to think about what victory looks like.

"The conservative leadership has crumbled. Erin O'Toole has been replaced by someone who is giving a fair bit of voice to your concerns. All the people you represent have a voice in the house of commons. You have four provinces that have moved quite precipitously in the direction that the protest was hoping for. They are starting to lift mask mandates on something approximating as reasonable a timeline as might be expected under the circumstances. You're now faced with a difficult choice: what are your criteria for satisfaction."

The "criteria for satisfaction" were made more difficult by Justin Trudeau. As someone who has no skin in the game and hasn't even been to Canada since 2002, I'm not going to tell the people who are what they have to sacrifice. I did note that Ontario--the province Ottawa is in--announced today they were doing away with mandates. That can't be a coincidence. There has also been a slew of American governors announcing they were ending mask mandates here, as well. That can't be a coincidence, either. No science has changed other than political science.

"I'd like to commend all of you for your diligence and work, on accomplishing what you have accomplished under trying conditions, and also for keeping your heads in a way that's been a model for the entire world. You've been able to remain peaceful. You haven't taken the bait. You haven't responded with violence to quite remarkable denigration and provocation. That's a sign of tremendous discipline and care."

As the denigration and provocation came from liberals and the media (but I repeat myself), not only did the protesters NOT take the bait but people who didn't start out as supporters were awakened to how the left and the media (again, repeating myself) actually operate.

The Freedom Convoy has been a huge success so far. Where it goes from here, the protesters have effected change in countries outside of Canada as well. Take a bow. Tell Trudeau what orifice he can stick his emergency powers.
