Silly me thought the dumbest thing about Joe Biden catching COVID would be that he claimed to catch COVID after telling an interviewer that only a "medical condition" could make him drop out of the race. We forgot about Joy Reid existing and being on TV during the RNC Convention. She wants Biden celebrated for surviving COVID with the same zeal as Trump being celebrated for surviving an assassination attempt.

Let's take this in order. Early on Wednesday afternoon, amidst Democrats leaking about all the people telling Biden to drop out, he told an interviewer that he would only drop out if a doctor told him he had a medical condition that would make him have to drop out.

Later on in that afternoon, the Biden Campaign admitted that the vaxxed and boosted Biden caught COVID again and was heading back to Delaware to isolate.

If you want to believe he has COVID, I'm not going to stop you.

I'm too busy trying to believe a twenty-year-old with no social media history was able to almost assassinate a former president an hour after the former president's bodyguards flagged that twenty-year-old as a security risk. So, yeah, Joe Biden amidst a campaign in turmoil and a political party looking for excuses for him to drop out, announced a potential reason. On a related note, I've had July 19th set as the OVER/UNDER for when Biden drops out all year.

Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) know they are in trouble. One way for the media to handle the situation is to call for the iconic photo of Trump with his fist in the air to be throttled. After all, being a journalismer means not reporting accurate news because your friends might think you are "helping" the bad man.

Another way is to act like an imbecile and claim, with a straight face, that an elderly man catching a cold for the third time should be covered on the same level as a less elderly man serving an attempt on his life.

Joy Reid has left us with no other option than to turn to CNN as a voice of reason.

Welcome to Election 2024. We don't know what Donald Trump we're getting tonight. We don't know what Democrat candidate we're getting tomorrow. But at least we know whatever the news is, Joy Reid will have something stupid to say about it.
