As a lifelong fan of the Jurassic Park franchise, I wanted nothing more than for the newest installment of the Jurassic World trilogy to be amazing. Sadly, it's anything but. Now, I, personally, have not watched the film, and I'm apprehensive to do so after the kind of treatment it received around the office all weekend and this morning. Suffice it to say, the consensus around the water cooler was that the film was absolutely terrible in almost every way, which is upsetting, especially because those of us at Louder with Crowder are, by and large, Chris Pratt fans.

But no one savaged the film worse than the big man himself Steven Crowder. So strong were his feelings about the film that it had to make it into the show just so it could be known by our audience--Steven would open the wounds deep and ensure everyone felt the sting of the salt that would quickly be stomped into it.

The film falls apart in several aspects, not the least of which is logic. If Bryce Howard's character can outrun a fully grown velociraptor, she would be something out of a Marvel movie, not Jurassic World. But setting aside analyzing the physics of the movie, it also failed to be visually appealing. It's been decades since the first Jurassic Park movie captivated audiences with its dinosaurs, and one would think the newest installment would make use of some sophisticated tech and effects to make those animals come alive. However, it seems like the crew really phoned it in, capping off the franchise with a lackluster showing and crushing the hopes of die-hard fans.

Now, is that enough to keep moviegoers from lining up to experience the film? Probably not. The movie has already recouped its investment, so there's something there to enjoy. What that something is, though, is up for interpretation.
