As border states are sharing the wealth of illegal migrants who cross our border thanks to Joe Biden, someone who hopes to become governor of one of those border states isn't a fan. Kari Lake says it doesn't fix the problem.

To be clear, in her clip from Tucker Carlson, she was asked about Ron DeSantis sharing the wealth of illegal migrants to Martha's Vinyard. But as I was writing this, two busloads of illegals showed up at Kamala Harris' front door. Or front security gate. The same Kamala Harris who thinks our border is secure AND the same Kamala Harris who was put in charge of fixing the border... yet didn't.

Kari's broader point still stands.

Lake gets a kick it of it like the rest of us do. But she makes a broader point:

"We're just taking people who are here illegally who shouldn't be here. We are moving them further inland."

Her plan once elected is to issue a Declaration of Invasion, get the National Guard on the border, and stop people from entering the country illegally. I see both schools of thought. However, one is micro and one is macro. Kari Lake's is the micro. Close the border. Stop people from coming in. Stand up to the cartels.

I think the macro is how, to most Americans, the border isn't in crisis because it's out of sight and out of mind. NIMBY-leftists want illegals to pour across the border because it's a problem only the rube Red States have to deal with. Governors sending busloads of these undocumented illegals to the sanctuary cities claiming to welcome them gives sunlight to the issue. Seeing how quickly Democratic Mayors adopted "anti-immigrant" rhetoric dubbed "racist" by Democrats when it's not Democrats saying it was a delightful surprise.

Abbott and DeSantis are right in the macro. Lake is right in the micro. Joe Biden is an unmitigated disaster. Multiple things can be true at once.
