There are absolutely no words to express how tragic the July 4 shooting in Highland Park, Illinois, was. A deranged, mentally unstable person ended the lives of several people, injuring dozens more, and forever changed the lives of countless families. There are no words that can mend those wounds. But we can express our shared sorrow and condolences and our prayers.

Except for Kamala Harris... She cannot express much of anything where words are concerned, so when she delivered remarks in Highland Park following the shooting, she may have actually managed to do more harm than good.

"I’m so sorry for what you all have experienced and the pain, the suffering. This should never have happened. We talk about it being senseless; it is senseless. It is absolutely senseless. I want for you that you hold each other tight as a community, that you know that you have a whole nation who cares deeply about you and stands with you. This is a — an incredibly tight community. I know that. And this person will be brought to justice, but it’s not going to undo what happened. And we — we’re here for you, and we stand with you. And of course, as we always say — because it is true — our prayers are with you."

She went on to repeat the same sentiments a number of times and took a moment to push for gun control--because why not, right? The entire transcript of her speech can be found here. Sometimes you can appreciate the stupidity without being able to read through it slowly. It's just that ridiculous.

I give her a C for effort. You can tell she phoned it in. And she gets an F on her final delivery. Like always, she sounds like a kid just trying to hit the word count on an assignment. Maybe she should try interpretive dance or something. Words are not her friends.
