If you were to look up unauthentic pandering in the dictionary, you would see Kamala Harris uncomfortably laughing. It's all part of the "certified badass" marketing. But whoever is in charge needs to update her rap references. Harris was asked who the greatest rapper alive is. She went with Tupac. If you ask Joe Biden, he'll say his favorite rapper is aluminum foil. He loves that joke. It's right up there with him asking you to pull his finger.

Ironically enough, the last time she dropped Pac's name was when she reminisced about listening to his music while she smoked weed ... years before he released music for her to smoke weed to. But yeah, Tupac. I'm far from the biggest hip-hophead. But I can name an MC from the past 24 years. Go with Kendrick Lamar. He won a Pulitzer, plus you're a Democrat, so you know they'll never follow up by asking you to name a song or drop a few lines. The interviewer let her get away with naming a guy who has been dead for a quarter of a century.

A buddy of mine is a hip-hop producer who says of politicians, "If you're not about that life, don't pretend to be about that life." He says that a lot about politics lately. This isn't as bad is Pete Buttgig cracking a 40-ounce. But it's definitely up there.
