When former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard announced she was leaving her political party for getting too radical and extreme and out of touch with the American people, if nothing else I thought it would be good for content. And being good for content is the noblest of all causes. Turns out Gabbard still has plans to be involved in politics and has endorsed another former Democrat, Arizona Gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake.

Tulsi's even going to Arizona to campaign with her.

Gabbard said in a statement, "for too long establishment leaders from both parties have sought to enrich themselves, play games, and build up their power while ignoring and even enabling the suffering of millions of hard-working Americans."

She views Kari Lake as a leader who "puts people first, is fighting for border security, energy independence, public safety, and other policies that actually make life better and more affordable for the American people."

Tulsi is also impressed by the way Kari "isn’t afraid to call out the warmongering elitist cabal of permanent Washington and the Military Industrial Complex, and their propagandists in the mainstream media." So she's endorsing Kari Lake and will be joing her on the campaign trail.

It's unclear how much of an effect this will have on the race, and anyone who claims they know in either direction is lying. Gabbard's base of support is an unknown variable. If anything, she can help other disaffected democrats who view the party as radical extremists feel more comfortable with supporting Lake.

I say this as someone who lives in a state where the Democrat Party has also been taken over by woke socialist lunatics. They turn off voters, but those voters still don't want to vote for a Republican because "what if their neighbors find out?" It's not uncommon for our candidates to run on, and sometimes create, third-party lines so that voters can vote for the candidate without voting "for the party."

Tulsi isn't the only former democrat turned off by what the party has turned into. And we saw a poll yesterday showing independent woman swing right by THIRTY-TWO POINTS. Tulsi's endorsement of Kari Lake could give other voters the "permission" they need to vote Republican for the first time in their lives.

We'll find out in a few weeks. For now, we can revel in the leftist meltdowns.
