Kellyanne Conway Spanks Chris Cuomo on Trump Jr.'s 'Russia Meeting'
CNN's favorite narrative - Russia collusion - just had a collision with an inconvenient truth. In case you need a quick refresher, the news medium has been busy maintaining its "credibility" by throwing themselves on the ground, kicking and screaming, when they were teased by a GIF. Also, don't forget such achievements as CNN’s Chris Cuomo Goes Full Moron. Demands Evidence of No Evidence… and CNN Lists ‘5 Must-Have Apps’ for Illegal Immigrants. Yes, Really. Thus are the leftist propagandist outlet's many fails. To add to that ever growing list? Here's CNN's Chris Cuomo getting a thorough spanking from Kellyanne Conway.
A little context here: Chris Cuomo had his panties in a twist over how Donald Trump Jr. described a meeting between himself and someone with, drumroll please, TIES TO RUSSIA! Things got interesting. Feast thine eyes.
Kellyanne: You've got to give the whole statement to be fair to him and to be fair to your viewers. Let's stop chopping it up and trying to go viral with this nonsense.Chris: Put the statement up! You're the one whose parsing, not me.
Statement: 'After pleasantries were exchanged the woman stated that she had information that individuals connected to Russia were funding the Democratic National Committee and supporting Ms. Clinton. Her statement was vague, ambiguous and made no sense. No details or supporting information was provided or even offered. It quickly became clear that she had no meaningful information.'
Kellyann: There you go!
Chris: Even if you accept everything he said as true, there's a credibility issue because he changed his story twice... whether or not it was good information, Kellyanne, doesn't mean it was a good move to take a meeting with a Russian connected person who is going to give you negative information about your opponent.
Kellyanne: I admire your moxie sitting there with the CNN emblem right near you talking about credibility issues with the couple of weeks you guys have had. You want [this meeting to have] produced something because you're invested in months now as a network - in something that simply doesn't exist.
Notice how Chris didn't start this segment by showing the direct quote in the first place. Instead, he wasted no time before lobbing accusations right from the gate. In perfectly predictable CNN fashion (see Desperate CNN Tries to Make Conor McGregor Insult Trump. He Embarrasses Them Instead!). It wasn't until he was asked by his guest to show said quote did he think it worth the time to put it on the screen for all to see.
While Cuomo tried to operate in the dark, Kellyanne asked him to produce the full, direct quote for transparency purposes. Her instinct was to incorporate more context, more information, more truth. Chris Cuomo on the other hand? Meh. Twasn't so.
Not surprising.
