Last night, Rep. Kevin McCarthy confirmed that Reps. Eric Swalwell and Adam Schiff will be removed from the House Intelligence Committee. The House will hold a vote on whether Rep. Ilhan Omar should be removed from the Foreign Affairs Committee. McCarthy had promised to do this back in February if elected as Speaker.

McCarthy said Schiff needs to be removed for his defense of the bogus Steele dossier. Schiff spearheaded the "Russian Collusion" claims against Trump, claiming again and again that there was "plenty of evidence in plain sight."

Just last week, a Twitter Files dump revealed Schiff tried to have journalist Paul Sperry censored for "promoting QAnon conspiracy theories." Except Sperry never did that. What he did do was out the "whistleblower," CIA analyst Eric Ciaramella, behind Trump's first impeachment. Pot-tay-to, po-tah-to.

McCarthy said Swalwell needs to be removed due to his inappropriate relationship with Fang Fang the Chinese spy, as well as his excessive flatulence. Ok, I added that last part. But it probably was a factor.

McCarthy wants to remove Ilhan Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee for her rampant anti-semitism. In 2012, she tweeted, "Israel has hypnotized the world," and in 2018, she tweeted, "Drawing attention to the apartheid Israeli regime is far from hating Jews." In 2019, she suggested that Israeli allies in America are "all about the Benjamins, baby." She later apologized and said she was "learning."

The Democrats are quite up in arms over McCarthy's decision to strip these, er, fine representatives of their committee assignments. In 2021, however, Nancy Pelosi stripped Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of her committee assignments for being a cOnSpIrAcY theorist.

One would think actual national security threats or hatred of Jewish people would be universally condemned as worse than having some kooky beliefs about politics. But alas, it is 2023. Therefore, everything is upside-down and backward.
