The best part of the campaign cycle where Trump "auditions" potential running mates in the media is that we get Kristi Noem, South Dakota's smokeshow of a governor, back on our televisions. There was a point over the past four years where she was considered a potential candidate herself. But the American people decided they wanted a rerun of the 2020 election. Far be it for me to question their collective wisdom.

Noem shined over the weekend on CNN in a role we're going to see a lot of this week: republicans smacking down corporate journalismers shilling for Joe Biden's "border security bill" that critics say lets in 1.8 million more illegals a year. The Tl;dr is democrats want new powers and laws to "enforce" the border, while everyone without their heads up their hiney holes knows all Biden has to do is enforce the laws on the books now. Because, and this part's key, Democrats don't ackshually wanna enforce the border.

CNN chief political journalismer Dana Bash claimed with a straight face that Biden is "doing what Republicans" want and derpity derpy Trump said a thing derp derp. Noem wasn't having it.

We’ve got almost ten million people come into our country and we’ve got a lot of people that have been on the terrorist watch list, dangerous criminals that are coming into the United States who do not love us that we’re allowing to enter our country. It’s an unsafe situation and the president can be the one who stands up and shows leadership at this time.

Change your policies. Build a wall. Secure the border.

The only question anyone should be asking is why President Tapioca-for-brains doesn't enforce the laws he has NOW.

Noem is considered to be on the shortlist for Trump's running mate. She checks off the boxes Trump wants: she looks good on TV saying nice things about him. But she also appeals to the BROADER base with a record of putting conservative policies in action, going toe-to-toe with a corrupt media, and speaking to the "big room," articulating why we're right, and the Leftists wants to destroy America.

We'll see where the veepstakes goes from here. More pressing this week is the alleged "bipartisan" border security compromise. Hint: not unlike how the Inflation Reduction Act was never meant to reduce inflation, the comprise doesn't secure the border.
