Kurt Russell Doubles Down on Pro-Gun Comments. Invokes Founding Fathers...
Okay, so Kurt Russell? He's the man. Somebody buy this guy a beer. Or a dress. We don't want to assume gender. Kurt "Boom" Russell (as he shall henceforth be known) has been causing a bit of buzz for his recent comments on guns. Spoiler alert: they're awesome. Go read Kurt Russell Evicerates Gun Control...and it's Perfect. The ladies of The View, who are just a tad left of center, and by tad I mean precisely seven hundred thousand million miles east, asked Kurt "Boom" Russell about it.
Fun fact about ladies of The View: three of the five members only began walking up-right eight months ago.
As for Kurt, he starts slowly and diplomatically, and then... he doubled down. Check. It. Out.
Highlights:
"The last thing I watch is entertainers or actors get political...so having said that...""There's a big difference between fantasyland and reality. In reality, when we're dealing with things like terrorism or what not, we all have different opinions. Mine happens to be there was a very strong reason the founding fathers established the Second Amendment."
"No government ever hasn't ever had to fight its own people, and its own people fight their own government."
Boom goes the dynamite. Kurt Russell is right, and handled the ladies of The View with great aplomb. Not once did he cite emotional arguments, not once did he raise his voice, not once did he use his hands like hatchets ala John Ketchup from Ohio. What he did cite was the historical reasons for the Second Amendment, and how governments often end up fighting their own people. He is totally right on the fat stacks of cold cash.
The ladies, like most people who hate guns, couldn't argue with the historical context of the Second Amendment. Joy Behar pivoted back to "But they're SCARY, and they have too many bullets!" argument, which is as silly as her ugly sweater. Also, almost as silly as Joy Behar. Yeah, yeah, I know they were all wearing ugly sweaters on purpose. I GET IT. Kurt decided not to engage on that matter, probably because there's only so much stupid one can shoot down in a talkshow segment. Related Liberals Now Openly Admit: 'We Must Destroy the Second Amendment'
We, however, have a video for leftists like Joy Behar out there who so fervently tweet about the Second Amendment being only for muskets... from their still-protected-by-the-first-amendment iPhones. No word yet on whether The View will return exclusively to using the printing press. Watch and learn.
