Freshman Democrat Rep. Max Frost tried to own Republicans with an embarrassing attempt to try and prove a point to the GOP. But when your point lacks logic, you don’t really have much to prove except your stupidity.

Republicans want a secure border. Democrats want an open border. Frost has equated open borders with liberty. Yes, he is that asinine.

According to The New York Post:

“A House Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing on immigration discussed H.R.2, the House GOP’s Secure the Border Act, the comprehensive border security and immigration bill passed back in May.

The bill would restrict the asylum process for people crossing the border and require resumed construction on the border wall.

The freshman congressman was one of many Democrats who attacked the bill, though he also produced a mock bill to remove the Statue of Liberty for Republicans to also pass.

‘My colleagues from the other side of the aisle, let’s be honest with immigrants who deserve better than what you’re offering them. Don’t welcome immigrants if you plan to reject them. If you keep pushing your bigoted H.R. 2 bill, then also pass this bill. I’ve taken the liberty of drafting it for you,’ Frost said, holding up the draft. “It removes the Statue of Liberty, our largest symbol that tells people to come here.’”

Many Democrats are so stupid it is painful. He is one of those people.

The Statue of Liberty is a representation and symbol of American ideals, like equality and democracy. So whatever he is getting at, he is not getting there.

Illegals don’t even care enough to respect our laws. Many people cross the border because they feel entitled to free things. That is not liberty. That is the complete opposite of what America stands for.

Liberty does not mean you are entitled to break laws. But Frost is so incredibly stupid he is equating liberty with open borders. I mean the ignorance and confidence this man has is baffling.

Lady Liberty was the first thing that immigrants saw when approaching Ellis Island. But there is one important factor that Frost seems to miss. It is that they were legal immigrants who came here to live the American Dream. Not people crossing the border feeling as if they are entitled to the fruits of our labor.

The amount of embarrassment here is traumatic for me. Illegal immigration is the exact opposite of everything Lady Liberty represents.

But we all know that Democrats don’t like facts to get in the way of things.
