The House passed the Laken Riley bill that would require ICE to detain illegal alien criminals and 159 Dems voted against sanity.

The Laken Riley Act passed with a vote of 264 to 159 on Tuesday after lawmakers gave floor speeches to voice their support of or opposition to the law. All the 159 "no" votes came from Democrats. This comes at the tail end of President Joe Biden's term, which has seen record numbers in illegal immigration and many stories highlighting crimes committed against Americans by illegal immigrants in the news.

HR29, or the Laken Riley Act, amends the Immigration and Nationality 8 Act to "require the Secretary of Homeland Security to take into custody aliens who have been charged in the United States with theft" in addition to other purposes.

No sane person would have a problem with that, especially as these people have already proven they couldn't care less about federal immigration laws. Nonetheless, the left continues to prove they are not in this to benefit the American people.

The fact that someone this stupid was elected to public office is beyond reason. This has nothing to do with kids stealing candy bars and everything to do with preventing more victims like Laken Riley. Additionally, it’s such a pathetic way for her to slap Americans in the face as she could not even be bothered to pretend to care.

What about those she represents who actually want safer neighborhoods? Why don’t they matter when it comes to foreign nationals committing crimes? And since when did illegal aliens have the right to steal candy bars from Americans?

It should be illegal to be that stupid and serve in Congress but here we are, as these progressive politicians would be nothing without the most ignorant voters.

Like, be for real. Do people actually believe this nonsense? Do they listen to her and think this has everything to do with candy bars and nothing to do with keeping Americans safe?

The fact that 159 people voted against this proves the left will only double down in their fight to slap Americans in the face, as they mock voters into oblivion.

The people have proven time and time again how much they despise illegal immigration and those who actively condone and enable it are not serving in the interest of Americans.
