I come bearing good news for you Mike Baxter fans. The hilarious Tim Allen-fronted comedy Last Man Standing, which was recently tossed in the trash heap by the leftist goons over at ABC, may have earned itself a reprieve from the incinerator. LMS is in talks to be picked up by another network...

CMT may come to the rescue of another canceled ABC series.

The Viacom-owned network is in preliminary talks to revive canceled Tim Allen comedy Last Man Standing. Insiders stress talks are in the early stages as CMT is exploring if it can revive the expensive show at a price point that works for the niche cable network. It's unclear if a deal will be made as insiders cautioned that a renewal at CMT may be a long shot given the price tag on the veteran series. Also unclear is how big of a renewal the show could get as everything from a short order to multiple-season/20-episode run have been rumored. 20th TV, which has already placed calls to writers about a potential revival, and CMT declined comment.

It was obvious from the outset the fans weren't ready to see Mike Baxter ride off into the sunset. There's already been a petition to save the show that got signatures in the six-figure range and a massive pushback from lovers of the program. That should be plenty evidence enough that Last Man Standing wasn't lacking support from its fans.

Judging from the show's ratings and the fans' enthusiasm, the reason for the cancellation was always unclear. Though we have our own theories as to the reason. Methinks it had something to do with the star of the show's political views (see Tim Allen Skewers Hollywood’s Shameless Hypocrisy on Tolerance, Trump). That, and the conservative-leaning content of the show itself (watch ‘Last Man Standing’ Brutally Mocks College Liberals).

Any self-respecting leftist knows you can't have a show on the air that makes conservative "Nazis" seem relatable. Or, God forbid, funny.

This is the invisible hand of the market at work, folks. No amount of leftist douchedom can prevent a hit show with a loyal fanbase from spreading its wings and taking a giant dump on said leftists. Even though CMT isn't dead-set on resurrecting the show just yet, that they're entertaining the idea is a good sign and a great success for the fans. Good work, guys. The drinks are on me...
