European environmental nutjobs are built differently. I get that they hate the oil industry because they don't understand how the world works and were told to hate the word industry. A normal person wouldn't campaign on running the oil industry out of business and then blame Vladimir Putin. In Europe, they glue themselves to priceless works of art. Like Leonardo de Vinci's.

They call themselves Just Stop Oil. And in order to just stop oil, they felt this was a way to get people to just stop oil. One of the crazy gluers says, "When I was teaching, I brought students here. It feels unfair to expect them to respect our culture when the Government is hellbent on destroying their future with new oil and gas projects."

Another protester let the following sentence leave her mouth, "I am an art student but there is no place for me to follow my calling as an artist in a world where I have no future."

From a performative slacktivism standpoint, I award them some points for creativity. Enviro whack-a-doodles glue themselves to things all the time. There was a guy in the news who abused the Mona Lisa to draw attention to the planet being on fire or something. These freaks found a way to combine the two AND attack Christianity.

As far as leftism goes, they nailed all the usual goals. Except for effectiveness or a coherent message.
