Here comes the leftist media once again to "educate" us on guns. Lawrence "Stop The Hammering!" O'Donnell claims us gun owners live in a fantasy world. Yet, the "facts" you're about to hear him spew only exist in the imaginary world of Leftistland.

Prepare for a good chuckle. I'd challenge you to take a drink every time O'Donnell makes an error, but you'd be dead from alcohol poisoning halfway through.

2,182 miles per hour. That's how fast the bullets were moving when they came out of that AR-15 at Marjorie Stoneman-Douglas High School last week. 2,182 miles per hour. 3,200 feet per second. That's what those kids were trying to outrun. That's three times the speed of a bullet leaving a 9mm handgun.

With a high-capacity magazine, the AR-15 can maybe fire 90 or 100 bullets in a minute. A concealable handgun can fire maybe 15 bullets in a minute.

Hate to break it to you, Larry. A semi-automatic handgun fires at the same rate as that AR-15. Did you notice how O'Donnell paused, as if to pull these numbers from his rectum? Quite telling.

The AR-15 was designed not just to fight gun battles, but to win gun battles. It was designed to kill more effectively than other guns can. It was designed to destroy human organs with one bullet, when other guns can't do that.

Actually, in many states the 5.56/.223 is illegal for use as a deer hunting cartridge for not being deadly enough. The 5.56 is Gary Coleman in the world of rifle cartridges. The military chose it because it weighs less than a .308 and a soldier can carry more. Not because of superior killing power. A .45-70 rifle that fires 300-grain bullets (nearly six times the size of an AR-15 round) turns organs into tomato soup and leaves a baseball-sized exit wound.

You could write an entire book debunking all the other arguments Lawrence puts forward:

"The bigger, blacker gun beats the smaller one." That may be the case in Lawrence's romantic life, but not in the world of boomsticks. Barring a super-dinky cartridge, the guy who hits his target first wins. Plain and simple.

"No good guy with a gun ever stopped a baddie." We have story after story debunking that tall tale.

"You can walk off a handgun wound." Except the overwhelming majority of guns deaths involve, you guessed it, handguns.

Herein lies the problem. You have ballistically-challenged leftists trying to dictate gun policy. All while they have zero knowledge regarding the very things they want to ban. A quick Google search or a peek inside Guns and Ammo would easily alleviate their wrongness. Then again, to the left, being factually accurate doesn't even enter into the equation.
