School District Kept Daughter’s Transition A Secret Before Bullied Teen Ran Away, Was Sex Trafficked: Lawsuit

A lawsuit alleges that a Virginia high school student ran away from home and was subsequently sex-trafficked across multiple states, as a result of the school's failure to notify her parents of the fact that she socially transitioned to male and withheld information about bullying the student subsequently endured.
Michele Blair, mother of Sage, filed a lawsuit against the Appomattox County Board of Education and district staff, as well as Baltimore area public defender Aneesa Khan, who is accused in the lawsuit of conducting a "series of acts aimed at depriving Mrs. Blair of custody of her daughter and keeping [Sage] in Maryland to be affirmed in a male identity."
In other words, the school purposely withheld critical information about the student, then FOOLISHLY ASSUMED they knew the best way to raise the child, all while deceiving her parents about the true ramifications of what was really going on.
Parents are no longer seen as authority figures and are instead gaslit and lied to in some sick national abuse campaign to transition and sexualize innocent students.
Sage began identifying as a male after she started attending Appomattox County High School at 14. But despite school staffers being actively involved in this social transition and knowing about the repeated bullying, they “deliberately concealed” the gender change and didn’t get her parents involved until it was too late, the suit claims.
This subsequently led the child to suffer "a psychotic breakdown," run away, and into the "arms of a waiting pedophile" where she was raped, drugged, and trafficked FOR MONTHS.
Basically, even though parents are entitled to due process protections, the school just assumed they were child abusers with no evidence and any ramifications faced by transitioning the child far outweighed the child abuse they believed would occur.
"They stole my right to protect my daughter," Blair told the Washington Examiner. "I'm the parent, I am an expert on my child, there is nobody in the school or court system that knows my daughter better than me. They will never know my daughter better than I do."
Sage continued to get bullied by boys in the bathrooms and in the hallways with her bullies “touching her, threatening her with knife violence and rape, and shoving her up against the hallway wall .”
"The school officials were encouraging her to use the boys' bathroom, even though they knew she was being threatened with sexual assault, so she perceived herself that she wasn't safe and she runs away from home," Vernadette Broyles, Blair’s attorney told the Washington Examiner.
After she was rescued, the state ACTUALLY took custody of Sage because Baltimore public defender Aneesa Khan claimed the parents were not “sufficiently affirming” of Sage’s new gender identity, the suit claims.
This entire story is baffling. Although, not surprising. This sort of stuff is happening all across the country, minors are encouraged to make decisions leading to irreversible harm, all without their parent’s consent. It is time parents take back their natural authority to parent their own children.
