So, in case you were unaware, Hurricane Harvey is dominating the news cycle at the moment. Fifteen people are dead and Houston looks like a scene from Waterworld. People across the nation are banding together to send well-wishes and various forms of aid to the people suffering in Texas. Except for this leftist professor, who used the hurricane as an opportunity to take a cheap shot at conservative Texans.

The University of Tampa has fired a visiting assistant professor who suggested in a tweet that Hurricane Harvey’s destruction is “instant karma” for Texas because it voted Republican.

Sociology professor Kenneth L. Storey posted the tweet and two responses on Sunday before removing the entire thread and his profile photo.

University spokesman Eric Cardenas said in a statement Tuesday that Storey was fired after the school weathered an outpouring of online outrage over the comments.

The Tampa Bay Times reports Storey issued an apology on Monday, writing that he “never meant to wish ill will upon any group.”

So, I guess his being sacked was karma for being a douchetastic dunce with poor taste? Many Texans are fighting for their lives. Even more are crying over what little is left of their possessions. This fruity-drink-sipping buffoon? His primary concern is chastising them for not voting Democrat. Such class.

You can always count on leftists to take entirely non-political things, like hurricanes, and turn them into a rallying cry for leftism. Asshats like this guy are the ones who teach your tots the way of the world. Judging from his choice of tweets, I'd say he's not too keen on impartiality. So, if you're confused about why your youngling comes back from college with a septum piercing, buzzed blue hair, and an extra hundred pounds, look no further than this pissant's tweets.

Despite this crapgoblin's firing, leftism remains alive and well on campus.
