If you're looking for something to be outraged about today, you've just found it. You're welcome.

The Pembroke Police Department in Pembroke Pines, Florida released a statement this morning that one of its officers had been denied service at a local Arby's... because she was a cop. Refused. Service. Because. She. Is. A. Cop! You know, one of those women in blue who protects and serves the community. Well, that's how cops used to be seen, anyway.

The Pembroke Pines Police Department was made aware of an incident that occurred on the evening of 09/01/2015 where one of our uniformed officers was denied service at a local Arby's (11755 Pines Blvd) due to being a police officer.

"I am offended and appalled that an individual within our community would treat a police officer in such a manner. It is unacceptable, and I will be contacting the Arby's CEO to demand an apology," stated PPPD Chief Dan Giustino.

Do you understand what's happening in our culture right now? The good guys are becoming the bad guys and the bad guys are becoming immortalized heroes for spreading hateful lies. Or lying hatefulness, take your pick. The families of thugs (yes, the awful "T word") are invited to the White House, because #BlackLivesMatter. The families of fallen law enforcement personnel get a phone call from the President... maybe. But only when it's convenient for the man's schedule. Hey, he had to go to Alaska to rename mountains and stare down glaciers. The man's got stuff to do.

Big kudos to the Arby's CEO, who reached out to Pembroke Pines with a personal apology, saying the employee's behavior was "unacceptable and not representative of the company's values." Arby's also issued the following statement:

“We take this isolated matter very seriously as we respect and support police officers in our local communities. As soon as the issue was brought to our attention, our CEO spoke with the Police Chief who expressed his gratitude for our quick action and indicates the case is closed. We will be following up with our team members to be sure that our policy of inclusion is understood and adhered to.”

Our suggestion - if Arby's really wants to make a statement - have the branch that refused service cater a meal for the Pembroke Pines Police Department. All the curly fries and roast beef they can eat. And their families. Gratis.

Also, try not to make their roast beef sandwiches taste like Yak vomit. If you can fit it in the 'suggestion box.'

But this isn't just about some random, incredibly STUPID Arby's employee who's a total jerk. We're seeing a cultural revolution where parents are teaching their kids to run away from cops, rather than run to them. Or at the very least, respect them.

Our current anti-cop culture is based on myth, is resulting in higher crime across the country and it needs to be reversed. Immediately. Our men and women in blue are risking their lives every day to protect us. They're being insulted, maligned, and even hunted and slaughtered simply for choosing to give their lives to serve our communities.

No group of people is all that bad. No matter how hard leftists try to generalize against our police officers.

So thank one of them today. Or at the very least, if one of them wants a sandwich... don't be a jerk about it.
