Things have gotten rather turbulent for leftist media outlets lately. Largely by their own doing (see BUSTED! Georgia Court Rules CNN Guilty of Pushing 'Fake News'). It seems all that fakery and suckness is coming back to bite them in their bitter, curdled rear ends. Behold...

Media outlets, including the Huffington Post, The New York Times, NBC, Vocativ, Newsweek and Time Inc., initiated major layoffs of their labor forces Tuesday and Wednesday.

The move will put hundreds of journalists and media staff out of work...

Time announced that it will be laying off about 300 employees through a series of buyouts and layoffs. The move will eliminate 4 percent of its workforce as it looks to cut costs in the midst of lagging sales.

This doesn't exactly come as a surprise. After all, leftist media giants have been busying themselves with pressing priorities such as supplying helpful tips to illegal immigrants and just fake newsing around in whorish fashion (see New York Times Gets Called Out for Fake News... Mediocrity has become the modus operandi in "respected" crap lagoons such as the New York Times (read New York Times Faces MAJOR Backlash After Biased Election Coverage...). As more people seek to fill their news needs elsewhere, trifling news organizations like the Huffington Post are left to dwindle in their own thought waste. The result? Layoffs, budget cuts, and a long, slow, drawn out death.

The beauty of the free market. When business churn out social justice debris and people don't like them, customers go elsewhere. Remember Motorolla and Circuit City? Montgomery Ward? Uh huh. Not saying these publications are as doomed as PanAm, but the poop swasticas are smeared on the wall.

Time to make way for the better things. So if this is the beginning of the end, good riddance and godspeed to these publications - New York Times, HuffPo, and friends. Can't say you'll be missed very much, but you did give us a few good laughs...
