Monday's summit with Putin was a disaster for Donald Trump. It's okay if you disagree. He had a good week with NATO (see THE NATO SCAM: Why Trump is Right and SO MUCH WINNING! NATO Countries to Step Up After Donald Trump’s Stern Lecture). But when even Fox & Friends has to explain to the president how he screwed the pooch, it wasn't a good day. To compare the summit to Pearl Harbor, well that's where we have to issue some ground rules.

"And I would say that his performance today will live in infamy as much as the Pearl Harbor attack or Kristallnacht. And it’s really a serious issue we need to deal with.”

That's right. A summit in which Trump came off as weak, stale white bread is totes the same as a Nazi Germany. Or 2,300 people being killed at Pearl Harbor.

To be clear:

"Golly, that wasn't one of Trump's better moments. He has a lot of clean up to do." - measured criticism.

"It was literally reminiscent of the Holocaust" - bat s*** crazy.

You can always count on the left to take things eleventy times too far. Because yes, the summit was kind of a pile up on highway MAGA. But when the left takes one meeting, which granted wasn't great, then hits the accelerator on "COMPARE IT TO SOMETHING FROM A WORLD WAR!" that's when we have to sit back, roll our eyes, and find a sharp object with which to slit our wrists.

The left can't just look at events with reason. They have to push everything to cataclysmic scandal which may kill us all. No.
