I don’t think my parents prepared me enough to deal with how stupid people are. If you thought you saw enough stories today showing you how dumb people behave, you assumed wrong. Never assume anything. Now we are about to surprise you for the millionth time today to reveal how common sense is not very common these days.

A woman decided to go to Walmart during the city’s “Shop with a Cop” event. While she was surrounded by 75 officers, she decided that moment was the most perfect time to go ahead and steal over $700 worth of merchandise.

The level of intelligence here is the same as one who would “hide their own Easter Eggs.”

Per an article that was published in the Livingston Daily but uploaded on Yahoo:

“Most police departments hold a ‘Shop With a Cop’ event or two during the holidays. It’s a time when police buy gifts with children at local stores.

But this year, Michigan State Police troopers from Brighton got quite a surprise when someone tried to steal almost $728 worth of merchandise from the Walmart they were in.

There were 75 officers in the store when the person tried to get their five-finger discount.

According to MSP, someone told a trooper about the alleged thief. He got another officer to continue shopping with his young partner, then followed the woman outside to the parking lot.

There, to his surprise, he found she'd parked next to all the troopers’ cruisers.”

The 62-year-old woman was subsequently arrested and taken to the Livingston County Jail, according to the outlet.

Honestly, with how confident she was in terms of thinking she would get away with this proves that this is likely not her first occurrence. Either that or she said, “Challenge accepted.”

“When I'm driving a patrol car, people slow down," Lt. Rene Gonzalez of the Michigan State Police said.

"When you see 75 cops in the store, I mean, I don't know if maybe they thought we were too busy,” he added, according to a news report from Fox 2.

To be perfectly honest, I think the women must have been a bit confused. She likley thought she was in San Francisco or something. Or it could be that AOC was correct all along. She just really needed that bread.
