In the olden days -- a bygone era, if you will -- thieves put some thought into their thievery. They knew the way in and the way out. Thieving was well thought out. Now, these days, in the Smash n' Grab '20s, our criminal element has no such time to do things like "think." It's all about running in, grabbing as much merch as you can get your scummy little hands-on, and praying for the best as you run out the door. Or into a window.

In the olden days, our bad guys knew the difference between doors and windows. Not in 2022. Not at this Louis Vuitton in Washington. And not this loser.

Some smash and grabbers catch hands. Some catch a bullet. This dinkus caught a concussion.

The dumbest thing in all of this? His colleagues ran out the front door while the security guard essentially held the door open for them and wished them a good day. It wasn't until they were a mile away one of them turned around and asked, "hey, what happened to Cecil?"

Cecil is lying on the floor being helped up by security. Where he will no doubt be arrested, driven to the police station, and released without bail on his own recognizance. Only the promise that he will stop stealing things that don't belong to him. Washington Police would have to have to ask him again.
