Maxine Waters is one of the less sane members of Congress, something she can get away with because she is a Democrat elected official from Los Angeles. As long as she continues to have (D-CA) after her name and voters continue to not pay attention, she can get re-elected over and over no matter how many tacos short of a combination platter she is (see MEGHAN MCCAIN WRECKS MAXINE WATERS' UNHINGED ANTI-TRUMP RANT and MAXINE WATERS RALLIES AGAINST CONSERVATIVES ON IMMIGRATION. CLAIMS GOD IS ON HER SIDE). Her opponent, Joe Collins, a veteran running in CA-43, is hoping to change that. If more people see this ad, he might pull it off.

This. More of this. All of this. And every other way people use the word "this" in order to signal approval in social media. Republicans have ignored our cities for too long. More maddening than seeing the same failed Democrats get elected from these cities over and over again is in many cases, the GOP doesn't put up a fight. That appears to have finally changed. The message here is brilliant.

It may not work this election cycle. Collins has an uphill battle. But we can't win the fights we don't suit up to fight. The GOP in cities finally looks like it's ready to do that, and people like Joe Collins are leading the charge.

Though I would suggest a follow-up ad. How does a congresswoman afford a $6 million home?
